The Fund

On March 11th 2020, the World Health Organisation declared the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak a pandemic. With so many vulnerable low-income households and daily-paid informal sector workers in Lagos, measures taken by government to curb the spread of COVID-19 is creating extreme poverty.

The COVID-19 Fund is a social fund by IBILE Foundation to assist the most vulnerable members of society who are hardest hit by the COVID-19 outbreak to help cushion them from the economic impact. The Fund will also support charities and community organisations that are helping the most vulnerable.

Payouts
Quick transfer of funds directly to bank accounts of verified beneficiaries to help them pay for essential food and personal hygiene products. The system is transparent and easy to audit.
Distribution
Distribution of essential food packages and personal hygiene products to tens of thousands of people across Lagos and beyond who need our help.
Enlightenment
Community educators and compliance inspectors to enlighten people on health guidelines and benefits of complying with the stay at home directive and maintaining social distancing when out.
Helping
